JenniferO2188 75 Posted January 25, 2015 I got sleeved on January 15th. The surgery went well and I have lost 32 pounds since I started my pre op liquid diet. However, my biggest incision has been troublesome. It's internally stitched and it looks like a dimple on my stomach. As of yesterday the pain is constant and much worse. It stings and burns INSIDE of the incision whenever I stand up for even a few seconds. If I stand up the pain feels even worse. Almost unbearable. The incision looks normal on the outside, no infection, no puss, no redness. But it's warm to the touch. I don't know what could've caused this.. I haven't done much but light housework and I walk around the house a few times a day. Anyone else experiencing this crazy burning pain? I'm worried.
efierke 60 Posted January 25, 2015 even if you're not running any kind of a fever I'd definitely get it checked out. Could be just your body reacting to the stitches, could be a mild infection. I was sleeved on the 19th and still have some pain when I first stand up, but it feels more like my muscles are simply too tight. if you haven't had your followup with the surgeon yet, I would definitely bring that up with him or her.
