KShingler82 16 Posted March 24, 2015 Oh, I thought they were a little more active. I know there are a few in the regular duodena switch group who have had it

snarkychef 4 Posted March 25, 2015 It's not super active, because there aren't a lot of "loops" out there yet. My surgeon thinks that it will end up being the most used bariatric procedure over the next few years. DS true believers are almost religious. I'm just over a month out of surgery with 20 lb lost, but I only have about 65 total to lose, so I'm doing fine for the moment.
KShingler82 16 Posted March 25, 2015 I think there are a great deal of newbies who have the loop but don't know it, several people have found out after the fact that they in fact didn't have the "traditional" DS which is why some of the DS'rs get angry. KShingler82 16 Posted March 25, 2015 My Dr was going to do the loop because he said the recovery time was less and it was an easier procedure... I was grocery shopping on day 3 and at work on day 7, it was so he didn't have to spent 4+ hours operating. I made it perfectly clear I didn't want the loop so he preformed the pain ole DS on me. Personal choice that's what I wanted, I don't have any I'll will towards loop'ers, we are all in this for the same thing =) I'm 1 month 4 days out down 37lbs
