And so now you want to imprison parents of raped girls who are carrying their perps fertilized egg if the girls get an abortion...

Where does the insanity end? Carrie's totally right - it won't end until we're all barefoot and pregnant and can't vote anymore.

Wow...that is ridiculous! Also if you make abortion illegal that would make several b.c options illegal! Then you'll be complaining about all the babies that don't have mothers and that are growing up in foster care and orphanages...its a vicious circle

There are many forms of bc. That dont kill babies.

There are many people who would love to adopt babies.

patty: "If yes, then she should be allowed an abortion because everyone has a right to defend their own life."

You're in a small minority of anti-choice folks on this patty.

Did you mean to say 'anti-abortion' folks?

There are a lot of b.c that make it nearly immpossible for a fertilized egg to attach...thus "killing" the "baby". Are there really lots of people that want to adopt babies? Tell that to all the kids no one wants!

Bring back orphanages - we can get the thousands of imprisioned parents to work at them. We'll have to figure out something for them to do.

Of course these orphanages and prisons are going to cost us a pretty penny in taxes. But not to worry, we've put away all those mean old parents who killed their daughter's babies. And maybe when the 9 year old girl who has had the abortion turns, let's say 12, we can put her in a reformatory where she belongs for killing a baby. Lots of prisons, reformatories and orphanages... cool, makes sense.

Meanwhile, the rapist will probably be roaming the streets looking for more victims. We won't have enough room in our prisons to keep him off the streets. But I mean after all, priorities, right?

They run into the corner with no where to go, idiocy is left. No logical argument can be had, no clear plan to execute. Just look at the priest tape. "I am not a legislator". His best answer. His only answer. And yet we should follow the path with no clear conclusion ? Words like abortion is murder are just words if they have no follow through.........What does he mean, put people in jail? Idiocy is left.

I believe that all life is a gift from God and he loves all children no matter how they made it into the world. He has a plan for every baby. I think abortion is a sin, not a unforgivable sin but a sin. God gives life and is the only one who should take one. Just my belief.

If abortions were illegal, there wouldn't be any doctors performing them. Those that did would be arrested. It will definitely bring down the number of murders that are going on right now.

I understand that you feel killing a baby is not as high a priority as being able to decide whether you will have to carry it and deliver it, but there are many people who feel that it is just as wrong to kill a baby in the womb as it is to kill one laying in a bed beside its mothers belly. Now, you may be as insensitive as you want with your mocking us, but if you will just once imagine, just imagine for a moment if you felt that way about an abortion how it would put you in a defense mode for these babies. You are soooo into your position on 'choice' that you can't even fathom the oppositions reasoning behind saving a life. It is therefore useless to debate the issue of abortion, because you are blinded to the truth about the baby in the womb as a real, live human being created by God. When you can't see that, you can't see anything.

Babies are adopted immediately. That's what is most desired by parents who can't have children. Babies. So they can grow up with them and so they can experience everything that other new parents experience right from the birth. If someone doesn't want their baby, they can deliver it and adopt it out right away to a family who does.

Infertile couples want HEALTHY, WHITE babies. Those babies are usually kept by the birth mother, not adopted out. For the most part (some exceptions) infertile couples do not want mixed race, or minority babies or those born with birth defects or crack addiction, etc.. That is why those babies go unadopted and end up in foster care.

Well then, I guess it's best to just vacuum them out of the womb. That's your answer?

If the white birth mother would have had an abortion if it were legal, she didn't want the baby, therefore she would have put it up for adoption. See, plenty of white babies for those who want a white one.

My brothers friend is the product of rape and is thankful for his mom allowing him the opportunity to have his life. This friend is against abortion needless to say.

Sometimes reading the posts here make me wonder if some people just weren't mentally ready for WLS and needed more time with the bariatric team psychiatrist. Complaining about the limited drink/food choices early on... blah..blah...blah. The living to eat mentality really needs to go and be replaced with eating to live. JS

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
