Good to hear from you Coloradobanding!

It is also great to see that you have found your "sweet spot"! I hope you continue to do well with the band and you reach the goal you've set for yourself!

Coloradobanding, are you trying to tell me I don't have a life? :-) The great thing about going to rants and raves is that you're probably not having any problems with your band or you'd be spending all your time in the forum section asking others if they have experienced whatever it is that's troubling you.

So seeing you here is a good thing! And besides I really like what you had to say.

Leisha, great to know that I'm not a lone wolf in this incredibly conservative state. It is cool to know that not only are you here but you actually make a lot of good points when you post. Way cool. High five!

Many of those morons in Texas need to just get it over, seceed from the nation, and take that icky Chuck Norris with them. (Steven Segal is WAY cooler. )

When I heard that the Congressman who said 'Baby Killer' was from Texas, I just rolled my eyes and thought .. FIGURES!

Heck no am I saying you don't have a life, so hope you don't take it that way!!! I was being sarcastic regarding the topic of posting because you have too much time on your hands, I was actually referring to me..LOL. And right now, I do have time on my hands (hope I don't jinx myself).

And you are also very right, I am not having any band problems so I guess posting here is a NSV (non-scale victory)..lol

I like what you have to say as well :o

Absolutely no offense taken!

Glad you're free of LB issues.

Unfortunately I am considering the sleeve. I have gone to the sleeve website but there's not a whole lot to read. Someone has already used my name there and I can't think of another one so I haven't logged on to ask questions. Duh. Surgery is a while off in the future.

My doctor's office is having some of their patients call me so I can ask them about the things I'm worried about. Doctors don't seem to volunteer anything if it is something that might slow you down from allowing them to cut. Only semi-serious... I like my doctor a lot.

BJean, Good luck with the sleeve, I recently told my husband that if anything ever happens to my band I will get the sleeve. I will not go back to having a full size stomach again.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
