So God gave her an ectopic pregnancy? And you think God decided that she should have 15 children? And so she enlisted the aid of the medical profession, and you think it was God's design to have the medical profession help her on her Quest to have as many children as she can? It's all in God's plan? What about the babies? It is in God's plan that outsiders are pressed into service to save these babies and raise them? You think that this woman is so brilliant in having 15 children, it's obviously what God wanted for her? What about the children? God wanted them to be raised in this world without benefit of a live in father? God thinks that a woman who is on a freakish quest to have as many children as she can is a good plan? What about the children?

Well, I thought your post did say that.

Show me where in my post I said that. Again, you have twisted my words for your own benefit.

I agree with you. What this woman did is not God's plan.

I just wanted to say that the woman that had all those kids had them all in vitro. Her mother said that she still had 6-8 fertilized eggs that were frozen so when she went in this last time she had them use them all...She knew she had the chance of having that many...Her mom even said she still wants more children...

She was on tv last night and said she did not want more children. She also said that because she had them frozen, she felt they had to be used. I guess in her mind, if they weren't implanted, it would be the same as aborting them?

Is that how you would take that?

It's possible she felt that way, but parents can certainly donate their embryos to other couples. Most doctors implant several embryos because they expect some to die. It's unusual to implant 8 and have 8 survive to birth.

Carrie, you are seeming to ascribe to me some nefarious purpose. I tried to cull down what you said into one or two simple sentences. I didn't try to twist your words.

For the record, then, in your own words: is it the case that the reason you're upset about this situation is because the mother didn't receive the medical care she should have? And is it also the case that you are not upset about the fate or suffering of the baby?

Yes, I am upset about the situation because the girl didn't receive adequate medical care. How many times do I have to tell you that??? I am a nurse, and it upsets me very much when people in this profession act as unethical as these people did. As far as the baby is concerned, it is a very sad thing what happened to it. I think abortion all together is sad. But as I have stated, abortion is legal and this girl had the right to make the choice she did.

I believe it is a social justice issue as well. But I also believe that EVERY issue is a 'religious' issue. Simply because I believe that everything that goes on in this earth is under God's divine plan for man.

The problem, especially with this issue, is that when you make abortion a religious issue, those who don't believe in God dismiss it as an issue that doesn't impact them because they don't subscribe to your beliefs. I don't disagree with you that God impacts every area of our lives, but many people do, and in today's culture that means something. When Christians led the fight against slavery in the 1800s, they were able to attach the fight to Christian principles about human beings -- because it was commonly understood and people didn't reject that reasoning. But that is less and less the case these days.

This is the same in other areas of life as well. "Don't kill someone because it is a violation of basic human rights": everyone understands that. You understand basic human rights to be Divinely granted, but not everyone does. So if you attach the issue of killing to solely Biblical reasoning, you lose a lot of people -- both philosophically and emotionally.

"It" was a baby girl who struggled to survive.

And you seem to care nothing about the mother. So I guess we are even.

On the contrary. I care for both. That's why I work with mothers both pre- and post-abortion to counsel them before they make the decision and to assist them in healing afterwards.

Then why do you think this girl didn't deserve medical care afterwards?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
