2NewBeginningsxoxo 24 Posted January 24, 2015 I am curious - those of you who struggled with edema before surgery - does it get better? I've suffered for many years and I'm hoping that as I lose weight it will improve.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 24, 2015 I didn't have edema but my feet were always on verge of being swollen. For some reason that IV had me running in the hospital. I peed a LOT. When I got home my feet were noticeably smaller. I lost 26 pounds from DOS until my 2 week f/u. I'm sure at least half of that had to be Water weight. WL WARRIOR 692 Posted January 24, 2015 My legs, ankles, and face were always swollen. It was only three days after surgery when it noticeably got better. I couldn't believe it! I haven't had a problem with it since.

I haven't had a problem with it since. Exactly! I didn't notice it in the hospital because they were always in socks or slippers but when I cam home and sat on the couch, I looked at my feet and was surprised how small they were!
