skinnyme123 13 Posted January 24, 2015 I've noticed my hormones are WAY out of control around pms. Doc says it's natural with all the sudden changes. Also, liver no longer enlarged...at all. Best decision I ever made to save my life.

lexiemustang 268 Posted January 30, 2015 I know the feeling. I just started this process about two weeks ago and it's moving very quickly. I have my meeting with the NUT and a cardio test on 2/12. After that it's the EGD then submission for approval, which means I could be having surgery probably as early as march. I'm scared too and a part of me is wondering if that's enough time to "get my mind right". Hang in there though - I'm in it with you!

Sherrischeffler 74 Posted January 30, 2015 Have no regrets or uou may regret that thought. It will be fine & all good i couldn't wait for my 90 days to be over.
Sherrischeffler 74 Posted January 30, 2015 I have been told can be hard in beginning and that some get really depressed, many different reactions. Except for being aware so I do the best to prepare myself, I haven't worried about that because it would just drive me crazy. I'm focusing on the freedom I'll feel when not held back by this 100 lbs! i lost 101 lbs it feels great.
carolk36 142 Posted January 31, 2015 My insurance company changed May 1 to one that supported WLS. I got in to see my primary a week later and had completed my psych and NUT visits by the end of August and surgery was September 2nd. Had they given me the option to have surgery in 30 days or less, I would have jumped on it! I have not had one regret. I would have done this years ago had I had insurance that supported it. Best of luck to you! Carol
skc72 138 Posted February 3, 2015 No sleep apnea so I am scheduled for my wellness assessment for this Friday! Next step is to meet the surgeon!
BirdGangAnt 4 Posted February 3, 2015 My timeframe from first visit (10/2/14) to surgery (12/9/14) was 2 months and 7 days. I thought did I give myself enough time. Then I realized I'm a procrastinator and would wait until after holidays, then find another reason. I'm not saying that's you now, I had to realize my own place and then told doc I wanted it before the year was out. Do what's right for you, but evaluate yourself. Don't hesitate without a sound reason. Good luck!
KalelsWifey 318 Posted March 28, 2015 Hi, this is my fist time posting. I guess at this point I am ready to begin posting as I finally have a surgery date scheduled for 4/22/15. I am eager and nervous... Eager because I am excited for a new chapter of my life to begin but nervous as I am not in fear of this procedure but that I have two toddlers who love mommy's hugs and cuddle time! I've contemplated holding off until their a little older, but, I feel if I do, I will regardless be prolonging the inevitable and start to a healthier lifestyle! I'm 5'2" @ 225 (good days) 232 others... I've lost about 10 lbs while attending the program before being cleared for surgery. I could absolutely use any help or feedback with anyone who has gone through a similar situation as mine having kids...
checkmeowt 27 Posted March 30, 2015 I agree with @@Djmohr . Now that I've decided to do it, I just want the wait to be over. I'm hopeful I won't have to wait too long, already having my second meeting with the psych in two weeks and also first visit with the dietitian that day. I'm already tracking all my food and trying to up my exercise, so hopefully I can get the green light straight away.
