chikesweightlossjourney 4 Posted January 26, 2015 What do you have scheduled after your EGD? If your doctor is suggesting it, does that necessarily mean that you are approved for the procedure? My EGD came along with a deductible. So I'm guessing my surgery was approved, otherwise I'm basically paid my deductible for nothing. . . . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
wannaBthinsoon 1,634 Posted January 27, 2015 the EGD (in my case)is not required for insurance approval. It is a requirement of the Bariatric COE to look around for infection, or hernias. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
