So hello everyone i just wanted to share a bit. A lot of people have asked when do you see results not just by weight but physically. Well this morning i measured myself for the first time since the day of surgery. 38 days ago.

AREA 12/16/2014 1/23/2015

Neck 23 20

Chest 58 52

upper arms ® 20 (l) 20 ®17 (l) 17

forearms ®15 (l) 15 ® 12 (l) 12

belly 60 55

waist 56 51

Thigh ® 26 l() 26 ® 24 (l) 24

Thats 30 Inches off total. I am amazed and re-energized. There's an old saying that "hunger makes the best sauce." Well I am going to adapt that and say "Weight loss is the best motivator."

Who else has been blown away by the changes to your body?

Nice job Steve. I only took a few measurements before surgery and I wish I would have taken more. It really is a good indicator vs just the scale.< /p>

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
