Galaxy Girl 68 Posted January 24, 2015 @@Elode, similar to @@ChavaBling, I add the seeds to greek yogurt for my evening snack. When you mix it with the yogurt, make sure to eat right away before they expand. I do not chew, I swallow them. I started taking them 1 year before my surgery and continued 1 month after the surgery. They digest easily than flax seeds. Good source of Fiber and Protein.
Elode 8,093 Posted January 24, 2015 @@Galaxy Girl Thanks for the info! I screwed up on the beginning by chewing them...not smart!
ANuMe2014 44 Posted January 24, 2015 As a mid-morning snack, I drop a teaspoon in my Nutribullet. Makes for a thicker fruit smoothie shake. Goes down like a charm! And, tastes AWESOME...

Iowa_summergirl 46 Posted January 25, 2015 I used chia seeds in my morning smoothies pre op. I tried soaking them the night before, but hated it when I added them to my smoothie...it was like they got rotten overnight. I usually just added them to my blender and they seemed to puree a bit to the point where I could tolerate them in the smoothie. It did make me feel fuller, longer. So I thought they were great. I also added xanthan gum which worked great too, I have not used these things post op...I have a hard enough time getting my food in before I am full! motherof5 364 Posted January 25, 2015 I saw recipes for chia seed puddings. The person that posted the recipe did not like the texture and just blended everything to make a creamy chocolate pudding.< /p>
Elode 8,093 Posted January 25, 2015 Well I did good with the first drink but then I got a hard peice in my second one so my chia seed days are officially over. I tried. It's def a texture issue. I probably shouldn't have used the flea termnalogy because now my daughter won't drink it either.....;(
