Would you like to work in an office that performs that LapBand surgery?

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if any of the people in this group from the Houston, TX area have a desire to work for one of the clinics in the area. They are hiring for Program Coordinator, and they would love to find candidates that have been through the procedure and have a success story to tell.

Here are some of the qualifications that they are seeking:

Passion for helping people achieve healthy weight loss.

Knowledge of the Lap Band and/or Gastric Sleeve procedure is preferred.

Must have ability to recruit, motivate and manage a part-time remote sales force.

Must have strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and effective communication with a diverse range of individuals.

Excellent phone and computer skills

Good quantitative skills to evaluate how program is performing versus established goals.

Works effectively within a healthcare organization and knowledge of healthcare regulations.

Ability to use own vehicle for some travel within the Houston area as needed (will be reimbursed for travel expenses), as well as travel to Austin and San Antonio.

3-5 years sales/program management experience with proven track record of achieving business goals and objectives is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Experience recruiting sales personnel is a strong plus.

If this is something that you are qualified for and interested in learning more about, please email me your resume to chance.dower@frtline.com.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
