wrk-n-prgrss 0 Posted May 28, 2007 I have been banded 7 months and it has gone well. I have seen on several band sites the horrors of complications and band removal. I would love to hear from some veterans who have had their bands awhile with no complications. I understand that in the U.S. this is a relatively new procedure (2001). But I am grateful for any positive input from the vets....I would love to believe this band will be in me for a long time to come.
*susan* 1,709 Posted May 28, 2007 I am only a little over a year out, but personally, I believe when you go to these sites, what you do tend to hear is the horror stories. But, with any type of procedure, there are going to be ones that don't have great success. I think you don't hear from the successful ones as much because they are out living their lives and not on the boards as much anymore. I just don't worry about what may or may not happen with my band in the future. What is meant to be is meant to be.

I was at goal & got pregnant with my first child in 2004. I've been able to lose my pregnancy weight & am about 20 lbs from my goal. Lots of luck with your band! It's an awesome tool!
