Cathy1985 4 Posted January 21, 2015 I'm 3 months post op and still trying to keep food down. Lately I've been having a sensation of numbness on my legs. Not completely numb, but theres something off and idk what it is. I've been critically low on potassium at times and have taken supplements for it. Could it be from the potassium that I'm feeling this way? Anyone else experience this?
WL WARRIOR 692 Posted January 21, 2015 I had numbness and leg cramping from low potassium many years ago. The craming usually happened at night. It went away once I started eating a banana everyday. Have you had your three month labs yet?
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 21, 2015 I would contact the doctor ASAP. He might decided to have your labs done earlier. There are foods such as bananas, coconut Water and even gatorade that can help if your potassium is too low. However it may be best to err on the side of caution and check in with your doctor. Cathy1985 4 Posted January 21, 2015 I just called my Dr and left a message. They did labs last week, but haven't called me with any results yet.
