mrs kaje 347 Posted January 20, 2015 I'm Central Coast-ish, but I don't think I've seen any Sydneysiders here, surprisingly. Surely there would be some!

NaomiAus 104 Posted January 20, 2015 I'm from South-west Sydney. I'm pre-op, not having surgery until late October/ early November, needing to wait for my 12 month waiting period with my health insurance to be up. Any advice from anyone been through or going through surgery would be great! Glad to find some Aussies here!
mrs kaje 347 Posted January 20, 2015 bandingtogether is a good Aussie forum; there is a section for sleevers, too.

Totoro 66 Posted February 13, 2015 Yep I'm from Sydney's northern beaches. Not sleeved yet, going to first appointments with the surgeon and dietician in just over a week.
HappyLoserr 3 Posted March 14, 2015 Hello, I'm from Sydney's eastern suburbs, I am seeing the doctor and dietician on 7th April. Very nervous & excited. So glad there are a few Aussies here.
mrs kaje 347 Posted March 16, 2015 Hello, I'm from Sydney's eastern suburbs, I am seeing the doctor and dietician on 7th April. Very nervous & excited. So glad there are a few Aussies here. If your appointments are anything like mine, it will pretty much be a non event! The dietitian one was very straightforward and I didn't learn anything I didn't already know, and the surgeon one was over in five minutes, and I walked out with a date. So easy. HappyLoserr 3 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) I hope mine is just as simple. I have written my list of questions already and would be over the moon if I can also walk out with a date. Just want it to be quick so I don't dwell on it and start doubting my decision. Edited March 18, 2015 by HappyLoserr

Totoro 66 Posted May 20, 2015 What's the Omega loop? Is it another form of gastric bypass?
