suitechicguy 105 Posted January 20, 2015 My date is 1/30/15 and Im trying to get prepared and make sure I have everything I need. I have a question about chewable calcium citrate. When I went the pre-op class that said that you can't get the Gummy ones but that is all I can find in stores locally. Are the Bariatric Advantage chewables acceptable? Also for Multivitamin, is that and Centrum chewable enough? Any help is appreciated as this part is confusing me.

BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 20, 2015 Some doctors do not like the gummie Vitamins and supplements because they feel they are not complete. Bariatric Advantage chewables are fine, just make sure you take them according to your doctor's recommendations. Centrium chewables are acceptable. The list of supplements recommended varies from program to program.

Kathy812 794 Posted January 20, 2015 I take Wellese Calcium in liquid (Walmart) citrus flavor, not bad. I also take a chewable multivitamin by Celebrate, strawberry/pineapple flavor OR I take the Orange chewable by celebrate (my new favorite). Good luck with your upcoming surgery. It's the best decision I've made in a long time! No regrets.
downsizingdiva 459 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) If you look closely at the chewable Calcium in the store, they ate calcium carbonate. I've yet to find one in ant store that is citrate. Bariatric Advantage and a few others online seem to be all. I've got liquid for immediately post op then I'm going to take Caltrate +d minis. Mine said the Centrum chewable were fine but recommended the Thompson all in one Vitamins. They ate on Amazon and are cheap.nutritionist said they are the only ones that have everything you need in a multi. Quest4TheNewMe 225 Posted January 20, 2015 I use the Bariatric Advantage chews in caramel. I order them on Amazon. I also take a sublingual B-12 and two Flintstone complete chewables per day.

Luvin_Life125 558 Posted January 21, 2015 I love the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews. They are my little treats through the day. My favorite flavors are lemon and caramel. My surgeon recommends them also .
