countrygirl 84 Posted October 14, 2015 I've recently found out that my former surgeon damaged my small intestine causing a small pocket, so when i eat some if my food goes there & backs up in throat . I vomit & get nausea multiple times daily each yime i eat, he also has been treating me for ulcers & reflux but i have neither, its all due to his gauging small intestine & never saying sorry plus i have only 1 staple now ,a new Dr had to remove it cause it was dangling & could have ripped my intestine also. tpatterson 5 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Smoking anything decreases healing. Wait at least 2 weeks post op to resume. Like @@bellabloom said, it can increase your appetite so be careful. This surgery isn't just for weight loss but it's for health reasons as well. Good time to kick old habits and begin a new, healthy you.
