ccausley 14 Posted January 19, 2015 Will I ever be able to drink and eat at the same time again? If so any idea when? I have the same questions about the length of time between liquids and food. Thanks for any input
athena3127 199 Posted January 19, 2015 As per my nut and dr they advised no. The purpose of the sleeve is to reduce the amount of intake. When we do eat we should wait 30 min to an hour after a meal to drink. Also no drinking 15min prior to a meal. The reason is that liquid goes straight through the sleeve. If u eat then drink too early the food flushes through the sleeve and you will get hungry again. The goal is to allow the food time to remain in the tummy which gives u the "full" feeling and not rush through everything. Sorry. But it's true

BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 19, 2015 In addition to what everyone else has said this is why we are encouraged to thoroughly chew our food until it dissolves. We can no longer drink to wash everything down so we need to chew our food really, really well.
