I started researching in Jan of 07 and after all the waiting, I have a date of July 31st. I am so excited, to the point of wishing July was about over. This site has helped me alot already. Any other bandsters from Nebraska or other nearby states? TJFANDRI, I'm originally from Omaha, born & raised. My hubby and I moved down to Northern Arizona in 2005. I'll be up there in September because our nephew is getting baptized. GO HUSKERS!!! Anyways, I was banded on the 9th and things are going well. Chris45 0 Posted July 21, 2007 How did your surgery go. I had my consult with Dr Olsen yesterday. My date is july 31. Dr Olsen operated on my wife in 2002. Hope you are doing well.
TENGAL 0 Posted July 21, 2007 How did your surgery go. I had my consult with Dr Olsen yesterday. My date is july 31. Dr Olsen operated on my wife in 2002. Hope you are doing well. As usual with me, there were some problems. First, I had been told by several different doctors that my hiatal hernia was small. It wasn't! The surgeon doing my lapband said my stomach was up in my chest, so he had to get it out and then repair the large hernia. Also, I had a lot of adhesions from previous abdominal surgery, so he had to cut those loose and said he didn't get them all. Naturally, the surgery took longer than he thought and I am very, very sore. Frankly, I'm looking forward to better days. Good luck with yours. Alesha 0 Posted July 22, 2007 Hi Donna, i wish i was in Mexico. Im here in wet Ireland. :rain: Anywho lets keep in touch. Are you nervous? I am so nervous, i am thinking of all these things that can go wrong. I was supposed to be banded at the start of September, just after my holidays but when i went to the clinic on Wednesday they said they had a date for next week so i jumped on it. I will have 3 weeks recovery before I go on my holidays so hopefully it will give me a chance to get used to the band before i go on my holidays. Im going to Sunny Spain :whoo: Are you from Mexico or just having the procedure carried out there?

Alesha 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Hey Donna, How are you doing? Hope you feel good. I had my surgery on Friday and i got home yesterday morning. Felt a bit crapppy yesterday but today is good so far. I have niggly pain at my port site and my left ass cheek is numb from sitting up in bed. I still feel a bit tired so im taking it easy for today. I had porridge for my brekkie, only about 4 table spoons, with a little milk and sugar. I also had a mashed egg with butter. It was yummy. Have you had anything to eat yet???
