Eli Alexander 316 Posted January 19, 2015 Tuesday morning at 8am I check in for my sleeve surgery at OHSU in Portland Oregon. I was very nervous a week ago but now I'm just anxious to get it over with and begin the steps to a healthier life. I've lost about 25lbs so far and, everything being perfect, would like to lose another 110lbs. Yesterday i went on a nice hike that was much steeper than I expected. I ended up climbing about 1600 feet and back on rain-soaked muddy trails, and now my muscles are really sore. But I don't think there is any chance I could have accomplished that even a couple months ago. I haven't had the surgery yet, and already I'm I'm living a healthier, happier life. Just thinking about how much more I have to explore a year from now just makes me excited to get a move on.
