bfestqueenbee 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Hello, I have been reading the posts from this site and really like the idea of being able to ask questions and have them answered by other lapbanders, and so I joined. I am from the Norther lower part of Michigan and was wondering who else was from this area? I am scheduled to have my lapband surgery this Tuesday, May 29, and have been on the pre-surgery diet for 10 days and have lost 10 pounds. I figure if I can do this diet, I can do the post-surgery diet quite well....hopefully. Can anyone give me pointers on what things they ate when they were at Stage 3 of the post-op diet? What kind of Proteins are high and good-tasting? Also.....(and this is VERY important :drum:) I was wondering after I have my surgery on Tuesday and providing everything went well, if I can go shopping a couple days later? Does it feel like you've had major surgery with the lapband? I am going to take about maybe 4 days off after my surgery and thought I might get excited if I can go shopping! ha ha! :clap2: Vickie :tea:

Big As Life 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Hi Vicky, Looks like your surgery is getting close..that is great...you will be just fine...just eat and drink exactly what the doctor says you can have... He will tell you what to eat and drink....and just take a couple of days to relax....and no....no driving ...I couldn't drive until I was off of pain meds.......that took me a few days... bfestqueenbee 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Hi, thanks for answering my question. I never thought about not being able to drive. Maybe if I sweet talk my hubby, he will drive me.......like "driving Miss Vickie: I was wondering how you got your name "DIANN / TEXAS: to flash and all that good stuff in your reply? That is so neat! I am not real afraid right now with my surgery but I think the minute I walk in the hosptial, it will all hit home as to what I am about to do. Wish me luck!
