I love subway's chopped salad with turkey. I put oil and vinegar and eat it slowly. It's good and loaded with Protein and you can avoid any veggies that are too tough.

I am currently at 3 1/2 months post op now. I see many folks who are able to eat salad successfully. For some reason when I eat lettuce my pouch does not feel right.nit really bums me out because it removes so many options from restaurants. Has anyone else experienced this and if so does it ever go away?

As far as food at Panera goes I stick to the Soups there or have a sandwich but just the insides only, I pick the bread and lettuce out.

I used to love salads but for some reason am not interested in lettuce right now. I still may get a salad but will just eat the chicken on it and maybe a few other veggies that may be on it. Chili is a great option as well. Or, as someone above said, sometimes I'll get a sandwich but I'll pick it apart and not eat the bread.< /p>

I wish I could have chili. I love it but I get dumping. I think it has to be the sugar content being to high for my pouch.

I have found myself craving chili. I have been eating & making alot of green chili. I made red chili the other day. I have not dumped. It is interesting how some of us tolerate foods yet some dont. I also bought the weight watchers string cheese with jalapeno love them very good.

I havent had surgery yet, but Panera makes an amazing chicken salad! You could eat it with out the bread.

I avoid both places, I AVOID being near bread. Fellow patients, we don't need or should we consume bread anymore ( said the VERY successful patient ) :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
