Jrsmomma0314 1 Posted January 16, 2015 Hello my name is Kari and I live in Chicago. I am currently in the process of getting the sleeve. I would totally love it if I could get some of the stories of before and after. I'm 38,years old with diabetes and high blood pressure and low thyroid. My current weight is almost 350. The question I have is how many of you have had one or all these and then after surgery they are gone? Does that even happen? I have so many questions that I would like to ask. BeagleLover 1,020 Posted January 16, 2015 I had diabetes for 4 years. From the research that I've done, someone has the most chance of getting rid of it for good if they surgery before they go over the 4 year mark with diabetes. After I was sleeved, the surgeon estimated that my blood sugars would go down in 3 - 4 days. They went down in 2 days.
Susanjoyce392 66 Posted January 17, 2015 PCOS is all about insulin control. When you drop weight (less fat=less estrogen) and eat high-protein, low-carb, PCOS symptoms get much better! Good luck. I am 38, too, and am all about being healthy by 40.
