How much is everyone eating?

Recommended Posts

I am 5 weeks out and I was just wondering how much food is everyone eating? I don't feel like I'm eating a lot but I do fill full after just 4oz's. Thanks!

I'm at 4 weeks out. It depends on what I am eating. If it's refried Beans, 3-4 ounces. If it's tuna or chicken, an ounce.

I'm 5 weeks out today.

I eat 2 cheese sticks for Breakfast, one between working out and leaving for work (5:30 or so), the second around 9:30 or 10 in the morning.

lunch is a premier Protein shake.

I eat around 4:30-5 and again between 7:30-8. Those are my two times where I eat some meat. I always measure out 3 oz of meat (chicken, turkey, fish, etc.).

Typically in MFP I come out between 62-72 g of Protein and between 475-550 calories.

I'm 4 months. I have a Protein shake in the morning and 2 small meals for lunch and dinner. I eat anywhere between 600 - 850 calories a day.

I am 4 weeks out and I am eating between 700-900 calories on days and less than 500 on 2 days. I always keep my Protein at 60grams + and carbs on less than 50g..My diet is mostly- cottage cheese, yogurt, Protein shakes, canned salmon, some potatoes and liver with onions.

I'm over 5 months out and I eat 4-5 oz per meal (3 oz Protein + 1 oz veggies) per meal and I generally eat 4-5 meals per day. I feel perfectly full for several hours after eating 4 oz.

I randomly track my calories to get an idea of what I'm consuming and it's around 1,000 per day.

I will be 3 months post op this Monday and I can eat between 2-3oz of meat or cheese. I found recently that I can eat one whole P3 Protein pak from the store. I use these when I can't think of what I want or don't want to cook. ;)

I am still doing two shakes and one meal for most days, maybe once or twice a week I do one shake and two meals. I am usually between 65-80 grams of Protein, 8-10 sugars or less and 450-550 calories. Sometimes 600 calories on gym days.

It varies depending on what stage you are in.

It depends on how hungry I am and what I am eating. There are times when I can eat 3-4 oz of mashed potatoes, but other times I can only eat 2oz. I usually eat about 2oz of chicken, turkey, or fish at a time. I try to eat 4-5 times a day.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
