BariatricPal Launching Online Store to sell Discounted Bariatric Nutritional Products ? (Vitamins, Protein etc.)

Recommended Posts

I'd love getting several of my mail-order things in one locaton! My picks would be unjury Protein powders, Calcium Citrate Chews (I think they're from Bariatric Advantage) and maybe Quest bars too. Also books that are especially helpful or even vetted for WLS folks would be nice. I liked yours, Alex, but a few I bought were just awful and not worth the time or money. Good not-too-expensive skin firming cream? Laptop Bento lunchboxes!

Good idea. :)

We plan on launching mid-summer. Really appreciate all the feedback we've received thus far. Please keep them coming. My goal is to offer a wide variety of Bariatric products at rock bottom prices.

Yes, an online store with discounted products would be awesome.

I would definitely be interested.

samples of everything! It's frustrating wanting to try something and having to buy a $30 tub of it. And even if I have the ability of returning it I don't want that hassle and it's a waste of product. I want to sample things so then I can figure out what I like and buy it that way.

So glad to see so many others interested in the store launch. I had posted to this topic awhile back, but wanted to add the VICTORY Protein bars by Oh Yeah. They're all natural and the flavors are great. They even taste better than the Quest bars which are also good.

Yes, please open an online store to sell bariatric nutritional products. This has been needed for some time and I'm surprised it hasn't been contemplated before. So many of the sites out there that sell these products are overpriced.

Yes!!!

I love Premier Protein shakes, ISO 100 Protein Powder, and offering Probiotics such as PB8 would be nice as well. Body products for skin as well as hair products to help with Hair loss. Would also like to see some fitness items.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
