My taste in music changes with my mood. Especially during work outs. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Pitbull - Time Of Our Lives w/ Ne-Yo. Lovin' the new one by Maroon 5 - Sugar. I just put them all on shuffle and fast forward if I'm not in the mood ;).

I use Pandora radio, either Celtic music or dance music. Hip hop or dance mixes.

I've recently been listening to Meghan Trainor while I'm on the treadmill. Her whole album is so upbeat & gives me the motivation to up my speed at intervals and my incline. Love it/love her!!

This is funny, but one I listen to over and over and on and on is Sail On by Lionel Ritchie. There is something in that song that speaks to me when I work out. The song Brandy does the same thing. Maybe it's the letting things go and moving on?

If I want to run, I am embarrassed to say I listen to Abba their music keeps me moving especially the disco crap. Lol

Strength training is all Adele or Norah Jones.

Weird huh?

I love the rock my run app too! I find tons of varieties and lots of artists to choose from. You can also choose music based on the # of beats to help you pace your workout.

I used Pandora when working out, I like all types of genres. [emoji4]

Me too. Although I usually settle on Celtic music or cardio dance music.

Well folks I'm a classic and in some circles antique. Abba, BeeGees especially stayin alive. The Band Perry, especially the lyric Mama said that I ought play nice but she didn't know you when she gave that advice. The title is Gone. Otherwise anything perky or fast paced country. That's what moves this gal.

Hi it's snowy in Ohio and I'm back again. Rediscovering Toby Keith, his American Soldier and Courtesy of the Red White and Blue inspire me to be a better American, I like the message of Good as I ever Was and I March,in place to Sh***y Golfer And after all the weight nay-sayers I wanna say All about me. Its my time to shine don't you know. Have a good night everyone..

I usually start walking to an inspirational or lower-beat song, then when I'm ready to run Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News comes on and I'm ready and raring to go. Other upbeat songs I love are Footloose by Kenny Loggins, Hold On Tight by ELO and Mr. Blue Sky by ELO.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
