Essence46 493 Posted January 13, 2015 I was sleeved on June 18 and I am have loss 56 pounds in 6 months. My current weight is 202. I am starting to feel a little discouraged because I feel like I am so behind everyone else. I try to keep in mind we are all different sizes but still feel discouraged sometimes. How is everyone else doing?
finediva 979 Posted January 13, 2015 Are you still losing, or are you in a long stall?
Essence46 493 Posted January 13, 2015 I finally got pass a long stall and started losing again but it's slow. I am still losing inches though. How are things with you @@finediva?
AvaFern 3,516 Posted January 13, 2015 If it makes you feel better, I'll tell you what I tell myself when I feel like I'm not losing quickly. Time is going to pass no matter what we do, so while it might take longer than others and you might feel stalled, as long as you are losing even a little bit consistently, eventually you will get to where you are going. I was stuck in the 167-170 range for months and when I finally got past that I got stuck again in the 150's. I have now been in the 130's range for about 2-3 months and I get frustrated when I get on the scale some days. For example, I worked out a lot yesterday and didn't eat much and I gained a few ounces. Logically though I look at my daily weight which I have written down every single day and I can see that I am losing weight, slowly, but still losing. No matter what happens, the next few months are still going to pass, so I can spend them being annoyed that I'm not losing quickly, or enjoying life, doing my thing, and one day realize that I am finally at goal. I really try for the latter of the options, but admittedly, there are days where I feel very irritated with the slow progress of my weight loss. Keep on keepin' on. Essence46 493 Posted January 13, 2015 @@AvaFern I needed to hear that. I really did. I need to focus on the positives and just enjoy life. I haven't felt or looked this good in YEARS!!!

MJB55 30 Posted January 13, 2015 don't feel discouraged....this isn't about a diet but a lifestyle. You should give yourself a pat on the back for making a hard enough choice to do any surgery. To me thats the brave step! Summers coming!
MJB55 30 Posted January 13, 2015 i went back to read your post again and had to chuckle to myself.... you feel like your behind everyone else..... your way ahead of those who are still wondering if they should check into any kind of surgery.

BitterSweet* 835 Posted January 13, 2015 "Snap out of it!" (in my Cher voice). You're doing great! Remember slower or slow weight loss helps mitigate loose skin. Just that fact would have me smiling instead of frowning. You've got this!
finediva 979 Posted January 14, 2015 @Essence46. I have been slow, but it's moving. Take heart. I lost zero pounds in October. For the entire month, zero. But it's behind me now. I'm planning on doing hand to hand combat with these last 18 pounds.
