Hi ladies, I haven't had the surgery done yet, i go next week. but I keep getting concerned with how the loose skin is gonna look btwn the stomach, the girls and other lady parts. Have any of you had any sort of plastic surgery procedures? And do tell what you had done (if ya Dont mind sharing) and the average cost for that procedure.

I just had a panniculectomy (insurance paid) and belly button fix (self-pay). I'm just over three weeks out and over the moon with the results! I've paid $4000 out of pocket but it might come down a little when it's all said and done because I skipped a procedure on the plastics/self-pay side.

Worth. Every. Penny.

I could go crazy and have my boobs (lift only), arms & thighs done and I'd love to get the skin on my neck tightened up but I won't! This will be it for me... I'm done with elective surgery!

4000 for a belly button fix?!?!? :/ goodness, that's even pricey.

That was my entire out of pocket, including my co-pays for the insurance paid portions. It was $3750 for the belly button fix and abdominal plication. I paid for both and only did the belly button fix. I don't know what the final price will be yet. It could come down as much as $1500.

So this post is a little old, but I'm replying anyway, lol.

I had plastic surgery done and I have my final procedure in March. The break down for the cost was:

Breast Lift/Augument- $8k

Abdominoplasty- $12k

Groin incision thigh lift- $7k

Brachioplasty-$8k

Posterior Lower Body LIft- $8k

The website realself.com has a lot of useful information as well if you're still wondering about things.

OMG AvaFern! I had absolutely NO idea that the plastic surgery could be that much! And, I know that I am going to want it. Yikes! Good for you in making yourself a priority though!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
