Total weight loss question?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I am 19 months post op. I am one pound away from goal but I have an ultimate goal of 10 pounds lighter. When people have plastic surgery to remove the extra skin it is usually 12 pounds or more removed which in turns makes them lighter. Now here is the question.................Am I actually closer to my ultimate goal of 150 (I weigh 161 without the surgery) should I start maintaining or continue and lose another 10 pounds? Has anyone ever asked themselves this question? I definitely have extra skin all over the place!

My friend tells me that I'd probably be below 200 lbs if I had plastics. I weighed in at 203 today, so if I had the excess skin removed I probably would be below 200. But since I don't really know what the excess skin weighs, I don't try to handicap my weight.

To determine if I want to lose more weight, I look in the mirror and try to evaluate how I look. I ask my best friend (who I completely trust to be honest) how he thinks I look. Then I decide if I want to lose more weight.

I hope this helps.

I am very happy with how I look at this point. I am just trying to figure out if I should start maintaining or go for the extra 10 pounds. I don't want to be unhealthy and lose to much because I think it can play with your head if you have trouble maintaining a lower weight than you should probably be. I am 54 years old and it's a little harder than if I was younger. I appreciate your answer and you have some very valid points. :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
