strawberryshortcake2014 2 Posted January 12, 2015 I am 3 weeks post op and I have been advanced to pureed foods. So I grilled chicken on the Forman grill then pureed it in the bullet. But every time I eat hot foods I get very bad gas pains and then I pop a gas x strip and I just stop eating. Do u guys think I should use gas x before I began to eat or should I take them every morning. I'm confused. Please help.
FrankyG 1,450 Posted January 12, 2015 You could try taking an antacid before eating, but it might be a good idea to also let the food cool down so it's not super hot - just warm - before eating and seeing how you do with it that temp. Oh, and make sure you're eating really slow so you're not swallowing lots of air too. I take a chewable acid reducer in the morning and it's really helped with the overall gas issues, so I hardly need to use anything else through the day.
