Hey Zzzombrie! It's felicia from OCC, I finally went after having some Decaf coffee the other day, then I was at the toilet a million times after that! How are you doing? Are you losing? I've lost 10lbs since surgery.

Hey girl. Finally went last night and it was dizzying! I don't think I'd gone in about 3 weeks and it was a nightmare to get out. Almost passed out! I'm going to start on Metamucil today to make sure I get regular. I'm also down 10#. Can't wait for pureed food.< /p>

Sleeves 1/8/14. Full Protein liquid diet until Thursday so it's boring but gotta do it . Pain is there around the stomach muscles and probably where the stomach is closed . Still hurts to move and switch positions in bed or get off couch but it's getting better ... Good luck ladies :)!

Hi everyone! I was sleeved on Jan 6 th. I too struggled with gas and pain. I discovered Gas - X strips and they were a life saver! Also, for a more restful sleep, go get 1 or 2 body pillows. I have been sleeping in my bed since coming home from the hospital, and have 2 body pillows (1 for each side) that pending on which way I laid, I would put one side between my legs and hug against the tummy, and the other to support my back. Worked wonders!

Phase II pureed foods starts tomorrow. I'm very confused about Protein Drinks. If I'm using that as a Meal Replacement does that count as liquid as well? Also do I only drink 4 oz every 4 hrs? Somethings I'm now allowed to eat that I actually like. Watermelon (super excited about this), creamed spinach, blended yogurt, mashed potatoes w. Gravy or sour cream. If you are headed to phase II please share some ideas on what to eat. Hope everyone is punishing through.

I had surgery Thursday, came home Friday night, drank all that yesterday. But I have to say I'm not feeling good at all this morning. Chilling, sore, just don't feel good at all. I am trying to drink a shake now but I don't like it. I like my Powerade zero with Water. I went on three walls down my driveway yesterday and have gone once this morning. I ve got to get some Protein like nectar crystal sky so it isn't chocolate or vanilla.

@@downsizingdiva and how much are you supposed to drink of both??

ok I'll look it up the next time I get up but I will tell you. I CAN'T DRINK ANYTHING COLD, IT GIVES ME THAT HORRIBLE FEELING LIKE THE TOP OF MY STOMACH IS ABOUT TO BURST. SO ROOM TEMP drinks AND EVEN SMALLER SIPS HELPED ME YESTERDAY.

Make it a good one because after several weeks of all liquids, you will definitely be thinking about that last meal, can't wait to be a year out saying no regrets, so worth it! (My surgery was 1/13/15)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
