laurenella82 625 Posted January 9, 2015 I was thinking today that the last piece I am missing is the $350 program fee and I have no idea how I'm going to get it. So I had planned to email the nutritionist and ask her if I could pay it after the day of the class (Tuesday). About an hour later, my grandmother calls and asks if I had gotten the money for and I told her no. Then she asks, "who do I make the check out to?" (Insert Happy Dance Here!) This is the same grandma who told me that she didn't want me to have the surgery because "you're just gonna fuck it up. you're jus like me, that's what we do, we fuck shit up".....well.....THANK GOD FOR HER ANYHOW!!!! JackieBrown 183 Posted January 9, 2015 Yay for wonderful grandmas! You're so lucky, and I bet she will be thrilled to pieces when you don't fail. You know she has your back. Soooo happy for you!

laurenella82 625 Posted January 9, 2015 Thanks ladies! Yeah, my grandma is funny. I'm her only grand daughter and there are 5 boys. Growing up I got the short end of the stick (then it was just 2 boys). So I think she is making up for it all now AND I think that she lashed out at me about the surgery at first because she probably wishes she had done it. She's now planning knee replacement #2. But either way I'm winning and I thank God for her still!!
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted January 10, 2015 Your Grandma may have given you a hard time, but it looks like she is coming around. Show her some extra love when she gets her knee surgery. A knee replacement is as painful as a surgery can get, the physical therapy is torture and the recovery is long. Maybe Grandma will be convinced now that bariatric surgery would be instrumental in relieving joint pain.
