I like Kind bars but at 200 calories they are definitely Meal Replacements. I also use them as post workout food.

I just heard that the folks who make my favorite vegan cookie ABC Cookies (a cookie so good you won't know its vegan) has just come out with a low carb/high Protein cookie. I'll check them out when I go to Whole Foods next week.

Again, Quest Bars...best selection and variety, great source of Protein, and not bad on the calories, I've even seen in a few places where there are recipes containing Quest Bars. One person even told me to try slicing up a chocolate chip Quest bar and putting it in the over for a few minutes, and it comes out and tastes just like chocolate chip cookies!

For me, Siggy's yogurt, it has very little sugar and has a sourness that takes getting used to. It's on the expensive side ($1.79 per cup), but it has a ton of Protein. I find that I cannot stand other yogurts (Greek or other) because I am so used to the Siggy taste.

Atkins Protein Bars --I like them because they are lower in calories and total carbohydrates than a lot of others. I have not seen Quest bars in my area (W MA). A lot of Protein Bars that I have tried have a sugar alcohol aftertaste I really do not like.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
