Spooney 15 Posted January 8, 2015 I was sleeves on 12/16. Have lost a total of 30 lbs. so far (including 12 lbs. lost leading up to surgery) from 301 to 271 lbs. Other than my face looking a bit thinner, I haven't noticed any significant difference in the way I look yet (maybe because I'm very critical of myself). I haven't noticed a substantial difference in the fit of my clothes, other than every time I put on a shirt, the sleeves are too long! It's amusing me that this is the "big change" so far. (I'm assuming my arms aren't getting shorter-lol)
SimplySheavon 22 Posted January 8, 2015 Sounds like a great NSV !
joatsaint 2,814 Posted January 8, 2015 It took me quite a while to really see the weight loss... even though my friends could see it right away. I think I was at least 60 lbs down before I could really see a change.
BryBro63 410 Posted January 8, 2015 I noticed the same thing when I started losing....it's not so much that your arms are getting shorter, it's more that since you're now smaller, your taking up less body material for your clothing, so the clothes sorta 'hang more' off of you. As SimplyChearvon says, it's really a great NSV!! Wish you the best!!
Katcloudshepherd 630 Posted January 8, 2015 Sleeves too long is still a NSV! Congratulations on your loss. It just struck me that this is one of the few places you will ever hear those words in the same sentence: "Congratulations on your loss". Most of the time it is: "So sorry for your loss". As a dear friend often says: "but I digress". I'm happy for your success. Wishing you continued NSV's and even more "losing" . I hope to NEVER find the weight I've lost Blessings, Kathleen
