What does your guide say? Or dr/nut. Everyone has different food phases it seems each dr has their own. I am 9wks and can just now start to have chicken, fish, or lean ground beef. I can't have salad or any raw veggies or fruit for over another month. :( I'm just excited to have a small piece of grilled samon tomorrow! :)

I've been allowed everything as of 3 weeks just puréed ... My NUT said salads I can start at 4 weeks or 6weeks whenever I feel I am ready...

I'm almost 8 weeks out, and started eating most things at 6 weeks. My NUT said to add things slowly, see how I did and go from there. I tried to eat beef 3 different times over almost 2 weeks before I could handle it. I had about 4-5 small pieces of lettuce at 6 weeks with a drizzle of fat free dressing and did fine. I actually ate a few grapes last week with no trouble, but really chewed them well. I still peel apple though. I was told no tough fruit or veggie skin for 8 weeks.

Week one, I was Clear Liquids plus Protein Shakes made with Water. Week two, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, shredded low fat cheese, non fat refried Beans and half of a Protein Shake made with milk three times a day.

Week four, I got to add chicken, turkey, fish and soy products. Week six, I'll get to start soft cooked veggies with salads and raw veggies added two weeks later. At three months, I can have fruit and after the six month mark, I can start trying beef, pork and starchy carbs.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
