phillyfan99 45 Posted January 6, 2015 If you weigh yourself everyday you will see this. It can be Water weight, stress etc... I would suggest picking one day a week to weigh yourself in the morning(I usually do it after I shower) and doing it the same day of the week. If you look at the scale you will drive yourself insane.. Also I see that you said you are starving yourself how many CAL are you getting in each day? alwaysvegas 702 Posted January 6, 2015 I agree with @@phillyfan99, weighing yourself daily rarely does anything for your morale. I weigh myself every week (and sometimes two weeks) on Friday morning when I first get up. I know it's inspirational to want to see the weight loss during the pre-op, but you're likely not going to see it on a daily basis. Best of luck on your journey! momoftwins+1 18 Posted January 6, 2015 Ok good idea... I just was loving seeing the number go down and down and it was inspiring and encouraging.,.. Now, not so much lol... The only thing,i changed was drinking my Protein Shake with 2% milk bc thats all i had in the house.. I guess i should,go out and get skim milk tho..... Im,not starving, myself. It just feels like,it...... Protein shake in morning and afternoon... A lean cuisine dinner or something like that for dinner and usually a salad with little vinagerette dressing during, the day if im huuuuungry and maybe a Jello or something as a snack.. And sometimes another protein shake at night after dinner........
phillyfan99 45 Posted January 6, 2015 I would suggest maybe switching up dinner and making a piece of chicken or fish with some veggies in small portions and eat the Protein first. I am on my preop diet and I have a shake in the am mixed with half skim milk and half Water (20oz total). I have a piece of fruit (apple) mid morning snack.< /p> Protein Bar for lunch (Quest Cookies and cream) Another shake in the after noon the same was as above dinner is a piece of meat(chicken or fish 4-5oz) and 2/3 cup of mixed veggies... I feel full all day.. I also drink my Water during the day about another 30ozs or so...

Elode 8,093 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Don't stand on that moral killer everyday! Just keep doing what your doing program wise! Edited January 6, 2015 by Elode
shizwiz 197 Posted January 6, 2015 I totally hear ya @@momoftwins+1 ! I cannot force myself NOT to weigh myself everyday right now. However, I do weigh myself only once per day at the same time of day. So, every morning right before hopping in the shower I take a peek. I am on the pre-op diet right now and it gives me a clearer number of how I am going.
par1959 470 Posted January 6, 2015 I weigh daily. Yes, the numbers dont make sense, but weighing daily keeps me on track. You will get the best results to weigh at the same time and wearing the same cloth each day. I prefer first thing in the morning wearing nothing and after releiving the bladder. For me weight seems to come off at night. My nut who has also had the surgery weighs daily. She expalins it this way. Granted she has been at her goal weight for 10 years. She sets a parameter/ range of 5 lbs.Example 140 is goal and 145 is the top end.If she starts to close in on 145 she will know not to have that extra snack or hit the gym for a little longer. An last remember you wont loose lbs everyday, so dont beat yourself up or become overly worried if the scale doesnt move. It will if you follow the rule. If you follow most of the rule most of the time you will lose most of the weight. True words!!!!!!!
blondiebabs 214 Posted January 6, 2015 During my physician supervised diet months I weighed myself daily, it helped me keep on track, but there were a lot of days where it'd be up, up, then back down. There were even a few days in there where I'd weigh 9-10 lbs more than I did the day before, usually it was just Water weight, and it'd be back down the next day. It's normal. =)
