Can anyone tell me what your recovery time was with the sleeve?

From day of surgery until you felt you could go back to work (if a desk job)?

Thanks!

Honestly I could have gone back at 2 weeks, I work part time. But I took off the 4 weeks the doc wrote me out for, and an additional week. I am lucky that I could take the time off. I really enjoyed the extra time to get used to my eating/drinking and gym routine.

I was off for two weeks. Probably could have gone back sometime that second week if I had to, but was glad to have the extra time to rest/adjust.

I had my surgery in Mexico on a Wednesday and went back to work on Monday. I had no energy and honestly wished I had taken off an additional week.

I made it through the week - going to sleep as soon as i stepped in my house. I wasn't keeping up with my Water and food intake as I should've because I was so occupied with work.

If you can, do at least 2 weeks. If not, try your best to keep up with the Protein, Vitamins, and Water. You will need it!!

I was off for three weeks (thank God for Christmas break). I came back to work yesterday and although I was a bit tired driving home, I made it through a busy day fairly well.

I went back to work at 2 weeks. I didn't have any complications during surgery or recovery. It was fine, but I was TOTALLY exhausted. I probably could have used 1 more week off. In reality it took probably 6 weeks until I felt 100% back to full strength.

I'm am a week out today. Couldn't imagine going back this week really. I am a critical care nurse working night shift. My job is physically demanding. Hoping to have at least three weeks off.

I took two weeks off, and I am glad I did. I work a desk job but having to sit in the same upright position for 8 hours a day has made my largest incision sore.

Wow !! Congratz to all that went to work right after surgery.

I am a stay at home mom, it took me about 2 weeks to recoup well enough to take my kids to School in the CAR! ... I guess everyone's diff ... 4 weeks to actually get out the house. 7 weeks out since yesterday, If I eat my Protein and Water I have more energy than before surgery. Eat the wrong stuff I feel weak and sleepy ALLDAY.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
