Sleeve or lap band?

I get the lap band for years ago, I did not get restriction from it however I had allergic reaction to it. I threw up pretty much every day, and all-around miserable. I had it removed December 3 and I'm going to get sleeved in March.from personal experience I would say go ahead and get the sleeve. I regret not having it done for years ago. It is four years wasted, no weight lost, and just massive amount of aggravation.

I was banded in 2002. It was wonderful...until it wasn't. I lost my weight & kept it off for 8 years, with no problems. Then the problems began: disconnected tubing; 2 band slips; bad port. Four surgeries later, my doc told me that I could no longer use the band. As a result, I have gained 40+ in the last 4 years. Next Tuesday I will be getting a sleeve. Of course, leakage is a real consideration, but with the sleeve, you don't have to worry about the equipment deteriorating or malfunctioning!
