srp2015 11 Posted January 6, 2015 Hi everyone!! So my surgery was 12/30/14. I feel pretty good with the exception of my belly button. when I'm up and about its like a pulling sensation inside. I'm assuming that is normal. My only huge complaint is that the roof of my mouth (towards the back) and my throat are killing me. Did anyone experience this? Oh, and let's talk about sleeping too because I'm finding it very difficult.
Sleeverino 26 Posted January 6, 2015 The anesthesia used during surgery is a gas pumped into your lungs via a tube down your throat. Perhaps you are still sore from that?
srp2015 11 Posted January 6, 2015 I hope it goes away soon!
Tauruslady5 154 Posted January 6, 2015 The pain in my mouth was actually Thrush that went from my mouth, to my throat, to my new tummy. It felt like razor blades when swallowing anything. I hated it.
punky1 1 Posted January 7, 2015 Throat or mouth may be sore bc of the tube they place in order to put you on breathing machine.
