Who doesn't love delicious Protein shakes? From the cloyingly sweet taste to the fart-o-riffic aroma, there's something for everyone in these babies! You can choose your flavor--butt with chocolate, butt with vanilla, or butt with strawberry! OR splash in some sugar-free Torani Syrup and kick it up a notch for butt with chocolate AND English toffee!

But yeah, I've made it through 3 days of my pre-op diet. Ten more to go before I'm sleeved and then I get to have...

MORE DELICIOUS Protein SHAKES!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Hey, I'm feeling great too, thanks for asking! It took about till the 2 week mark for me to feel "back to normal" (ish). I'm still having a Protein shake for Breakfast even though I'm on purees because otherwise I can't seem to hit my Protein goals. Guess i'm destined for shakeitude...

Glad you're feeling good!

I'm 2 weeks post op and also way sick of shakes. Syntax nectar fuzzy naval and grape, are ok but the iced tea is very very lemony. Also about to try 2 other non flavored ones but so far Unjury has a flavor and it's not good. The Soup is good but my dr said too salty. Glad to have pureed but no room after shakes. The only one I enjoy is unjury chocolate splendor with Peanut Butter, skim milk and ice. But too sweet for Breakfast.

I bought a ton of the Premier Protein shakes in vanilla thinking I could use them with Jello, pudding, etc. no luck they did not mix well. I hate to wast them but they taste lime crap alone, today I poured on in a large glass and added a cup of coffee.... Awesome! As close to Starbucks as I'll ever get again. :)

Hey, good thinking! I'll have to try that. Especially for iced coffee if summer ever comes again...

They're also not bad blended up with frozen fruit! I've done peaches, berries, mangos...

ProtiDiet has some not-so-bad choices. fruit flavors, don't taste horrible and come in small packets, so they're portable.

All you need is 5-10 ounces of Water.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
