That seems really quick to me, but I know from reading on here that it does happen. As long as surgery goes smoothly and you have some support at home it should not be an issue. I personally would have stayed in the hospital for a week if they let me, but that is just because of my love of nurses!

:D

I had my surgery on an outpatient basis - in admitting at 6:00 am and out by noon. Got to recover in the comfort of the condo we rented. We had the route to the nearest ER mapped out and I had the personal cell # of the surgeon in case of an emergency. I was a little concerned at first, but made peace with it prior to surgery. My local bariatric doc was concerned, too - she keeps people 3 days. My surgeon's reputation and history helped me make the final decision.

I had outpatient surgery. In at 7 am and out by noon. I too was concerned, but felt it to be a positive experience, especially since my surgeon is top in his field with zero

fatalities and leaks. The key is making sure to get up EVERY 2 hours to walk 15 minutes for the first 48 hours. It will make all the difference in the world. Oh, and liquid Lortab to help you sleep the first couple of nights. Good luck!!

I, too am having outpatient surgery! I was nervous but my breast reduction was outpatient! I think it will be fine! I will have to stay at a hotel and was told the travel home will be fine to just stop every hour and walk for 5 minutes! Good luck! I have mine in February will keep you updated!
