Queen P 112 Posted January 3, 2015 I told my hubby please do not buy popcorn for my first 3 weeks....lol I LOVE POPCORN!! Well my precious little girl (5 years old) says daddy we need popcorn for our movie night!! NOOOOOOO LOL How could we deny that little face! Her and I are popcorn lovers!! Needless to say I survived the wonderful aroma and crunchy sounds during our movie night...I sipped apple juice!! I survived!!!

CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted January 3, 2015 And puff corn! There are a couple varieties: cheese and butter. BTW, it makes AWESOME caramel corn!

Queen P 112 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Do any of you have a food like that.. popcorn is mine...I do not crave it buuuut it WAS a habitual food that I ate atleast 4 days a week. .The movie theater butter kind!! Hee hee.. but it was not as bad as I thought I do not crave anything yet..I just didn't want that to kick my cravings into gear and it didn't! Thank God!! Thank you for the suggestions! bellabill 253 Posted January 4, 2015 I loved my homemade in the pot, shaking the pot while popcorn popping and added some melted butter. Just fresh! Now popcorn is probably the last thing you can after fully healed. Right?
Queen P 112 Posted January 4, 2015 @@bellabill yes the kind my daddy only makes!! Yes I will consult with my doctor first...but yes you have to be fully healed due to the fact that the corn kernels/ hulls may get caught in your staple line!!
jacileggs 402 Posted January 4, 2015 I am able to eat popcorn but just small amounts. Not the whole jumbo bag like before.
Thinkingthinner1109 485 Posted January 4, 2015 I eat popcorn on occasion. I could eat it everyday, but I cut WAY down on the butter just a tiny little but. My sleeve was August 25th. I don't have issues with foods. Just in moderation. It's worked so far. I have never had a stall since August. I know a lot of people get those stalls, but for me never. The scale has moved every single time and that makes me happy. So I am just going to continue what I am doing then try to figure out how to maintain. 16.2 pounds to go. I hope it's not banned for life after surgery. =(

par1959 470 Posted January 5, 2015 I love popcorn, but its a slider for me. After adding up the actual calories uncludng the butter and oil I find the portion I was eating could go up to 500 cals. This being the case I only eat it on occation.
