YourFriendJess 34 Posted January 2, 2015 My surgeon requires a two day clear liquid diet but I started today. Is crystal light tea considered a clear liquid? I am thinking that is not a good choice due to the caffeine in tea and the aspartame and sucralose. What about the other flavors of crystal light? I am excited and nervous!! Any tips/advise is much appreciated! Anyone else getting sleeved Monday? Jessica

BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 2, 2015 Crystal light is probably okay but check with your doctor or nutritionist about the tea. Many times they want patient's off of caffeine. Diluted apple juice (at least 50%) might be a safer alternative.
YourFriendJess 34 Posted January 7, 2015 Today is post op day 2 and I am doing well. No pain, nausea, or gas issues. But it is hard for me to stay awake...I am a professional napper. LOL. Also having a hard time getting in my fluids .... I have been sipping on an Isopure all day.... Any advise?
phillyfan99 45 Posted January 7, 2015 Congrats on a successful surgery. I read a lot about people doing Water with the Protein Powder. Kills two birds with one stone
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 7, 2015 Take it slow. As the anesthesia and pain meds wear off you'll be more awake. However make the best of when you are awake and walk. When you're not walking, sip. Isopure or Water, get your fluids and Protein in.
