krismess8980 24 Posted February 5, 2015 I had mine done at NYU Langone by Dr. Schwack. He's amazing! His partners are Dr. Ren and Dr. Fielding. I highly recommend Schwack.
BloomingLotus 179 Posted February 5, 2015 I also was sleeved by Dr. Schwack at NYU a week ago. I have not had any problems with him at all. For anyone intending to use him though, stay on top of your pre-op requirements for insurance and the office itself. I found that on a few occasions I had to be the one asking what to do next because I wasn't fully informed. Overall, still a very good experience.
Tanya Gif 23 Posted February 7, 2015 @@ka3yaa, I am scheduled with Dr. Pomp for Feb 26 gastric sleeve surgery. Getting more and more nervous as the procedure approaches. I may need to have my gallbladder removed at the same time

I found that on a few occasions I had to be the one asking what to do next because I wasn't fully informed. Overall, still a very good experience. Hi There, I'm (hopefully) going to get sleeved by Dr. Schwack this summer. What things were they not on top of in regards to your insurance? I was feeling unsure about what they were telling me were my pre-reqs as well. I'm with Oxford UHC. They were telling me I just needed 6 months of weigh-ins and then to see the psych, get the endoscopy, see primary care physician, and nutritionist. Did you find anything missing from their requirements? Just trying to make sure I personally have my ducks in a row. Bad enough having to wait 6 months but if they screw up my pre-reqs I'd be mad... lol
Tanya Gif 23 Posted February 14, 2015 @, I also have Oxford United. I am getting sleeved with a different doc on Feb. 26 but the ones you mentioned are the requirement for Oxford. You don't need anything else
