Nothing. Came home 4 hours after surgery and even though my hubby was here...I didn't need him. Just make sure and go ahead to have any post op meds filled (pain) and vitamins/protein shakes and first week of what you plan to eat/drink. I drove two days after surgery no prob. Walk every 2 hours for 10-15 minutes the first 48 hours for gas pain and sip

Fluids. Good luck!!!

I had to have someone change the kitty litter for me (well, for my cats, I don't PERSONALLY make use of kitty litter ;) because I was on a lifting restriction for the first four weeks. Other than that, nothing at all.

@@Jason In Houston My husband and kids had to go back to school and work after I got home so they set me up a table next to my recliner with everything I needed...meds, heating pad, remote, phone, A big bowl of ice with my Isopure ,water, and coconut Water in it. I was good until they got back home. Plus it was easier to sit/sleep in my recliner.

I had my sister come put my trash out because it was over the 10lbs weight restriction and that was it. I arranged it so I could care for myself and my cat. I used a scoop to clean the litter box so I didn't go over the lifting restriction. Otherwise I was fine.

I was on my own for five days after I got home from surgery. The two biggest annoyances (during the first 48 hours home) were reaching and rising. Like someone else mentioned, it will be much easier if you sleep in a reclining position. I slept the first two nighs flat on my back on the couch. In the morning (after the pain meds wore off), it was excruciating to try to stand. I ended up rolling to the floor, getting on all fours, and grabbing onto furniture to pull myself up. This only happened 2-3 times and was just something I did because no one else was around to give

me a hand.

Someone else that was home alone during recovery mentioned using a "reacher". These are poles with clamps at the end to help grab things out of reach. I think that is a clever idea. It's probably best to be proactive and set everything within reach ahead of time like others mentioned. I had clocks and alarms set at 5 and 30 minute intervals to remind me to drink an ounce and walk. Most others set them for 15 minute intervals.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
