brandy31 32 Posted January 1, 2015 Got my sleeve yesterday afternoon, and the night was rough for me. Lots of pain and dry heaving, despite the anti nausea patch & medicine. My question: how many days did it take some of y'all to really start feeling good?
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted January 1, 2015 I was fortunate. I felt okay the moment I woke up. My abs were a little sore but it was manageable without narcotics. I have notice that most people start to feel better within the first 2 weeks, some even sooner.

Pepper123 320 Posted January 1, 2015 Yes agreed the first night is the worst despite the meds....but by the second and third nights i thought i was at a Spa.....LOL...except for the bloating and the daily shots for clotting i was grand...

Avhick 54 Posted January 2, 2015 I had mine on Monday. When I woke up I had major pain in my stomach. Also whenever I got up I was Nautious and couldn't stop sweating. I'm day four post op and still have some pain but drinking isn't nearly as difficult. Hang in there
katanabutterfly 14 Posted January 2, 2015 I think the worst day for me had to be the day after surgery. I had a lot of shoulder pain from the gas and my stomach just felt bloated and heavy. By the second day I was feeling a little bit better. Third day was able to drink some broth. I'm now 11 days out and I feel great! I have to keep grounding myself because I want to do more physical things and eat things outside of my plan. I have to remember I'm not Superwoman. But trust me, it gets better! ~*~Heather~*~
skypark86 3 Posted January 3, 2015 I think I had more trouble recovering than most. It took me almost two weeks to not be in horrible pain. I have a chronic pain condition which contributed to this. I'm three weeks out now and feeling great. It's hard at first but hang in there!
tamtam75 1 Posted January 3, 2015 It took me a good week. Hang in there it will get better!!
monyLiza 40 Posted January 4, 2015 Thinkbruce I love your video and I must say I completely understand what you mean, I was in the same boat, eating healthy and exercising everyday while battling with my stomach's demand to be fed. Do you recall how many calories you would eat at each stage? How many to you take in now? I am currently 12 days post op and I'm taking little under 300 calories, I'm having a hard time taking my Protein, everything I've tried tastes disgusting to me. Thank you for sharing your success story with us.
brandy31 32 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys! I'm on day 4 now, & this morning I was feeling okay. Still in pain but it was easier to get around. I think I may have over done it, though, b/c tonight has been terrible. Luckily, my husband was home from work early and he was able to help me get up & down... I know it'll get better. Every day has been so far. It's just taking time. I've been putting the unflavored Unjury in almost everything, & that's really helping me with the Protein intake. I'm not quite to the amount of Water I need, but I feel like tomorrow I'll be able to hit it. Edited January 4, 2015 by brandy31
