How are people paying for plastics?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone I just had my consultation with my plastic surgeon and she quoted me 17,500 for a Tummy Tuck and breast lift with implants. I am putting 8,000 down but how are people paying for this anyone financing? And how would love to know! Thankyou

I'm getting a lower body lift and abdominoplasty on 1/9. It's costing $17K. I've been able to save up 7, and will dip into savings for the rest. Initially I am putting the cost on credit cards (they tell me this is commonly done) for ease of transaction, and for the travel miles!

I was a self pay, I found a terrific surgeon in Mexico that was about a 1/4 of the cost I was quoted in the states...I am very happy, it was super easy flew to San Diego and was picked up at the airport and taken across the boarder stayed a week and flew home...

I was super blessed and my insurance paid for my lower body lift. They never pay and I was shocked when I got approved because even my surgeon said he couldn't remember the last one he got approved. He took 7 lbs of skin off and my little tiny waist and cute lifted fanny makes me happy. I bought all new lingerie, small in panties and 32 DD in bra. I'm thrilled with my new shape. I had a breast reduction in my 20s so I am lucky they are still in ok shape. My thighs aren't perfect but I can live with that and my arms never got fat. Lol. Plastics changed my life. I love buying clothes now and dreaded it even when I was at goal because the skin in my abdomen and back looked like an inner tube. Now I am flat with a cute lifted tush. Over the moon!

I saved the money for a few years to get my body contouring. I partially financed through Care Credit interest free my facial plastic surgery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
