jersey_girl_86 61 Posted December 31, 2014 So my surgery will be in April or May ( God Willing) I am a Girl Scout troop leader and my girls want to do the Shine Run 5K in September. I will be like 4/5 months post op, do you think that will be feasible?
deedadumble 1,033 Posted December 31, 2014 Very feasible. Start couch to 5K when your doctor releases you for exercise. I started one month after surgery. It takes you to running 30 min in 8 weeks. It took me about 10 weeks because I had to repeat days. You may need to train for longer to run the whole thing, but there are usually a lot of people running intervals. Tisa 52 Posted December 31, 2014 yess! You can do it! I will also be training for the color run in NYC this May. It's hard and scary, running is something we usually cross off as being ever possible for us forever but this journey is about breaking boundaries.
