teaup18 0 Posted December 31, 2014 Hi Tiff, I'm on my 2nd day of liquid diet (pre-surgery). I was very hangry 1st day, and a little better today. I've found it's best for me to stay away from smells of food, if possible. I'm trying to drink more Water today to help out. I've found I like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein mixes best. I ordered them from internet. I only started with the sample packet before I started. Basically to find out which flavors I liked the best. They have a chicken flavored one and when it's added to warm Water (not hotter than 140 degrees) it taste like chicken Soup. My dr. lets me have unsweetened applesauce with artifical sweetner. I added a little cinamon to it tonight and enjoyed it. Hang in there and just remember the better we do with this liquid diet the less likely of complications with the surgery. We're getting that fatty liver shrunk so the surgeon can do an excellent job for us.!!! teaup18
anaxila 501 Posted December 31, 2014 I am 7 days into the pre-op diet, and it's definitely gotten easier the past couple of days. It was rough at first, but now I'm suddenly halfway there and it's smooth sailing. My doc also encourages popsicles. So there's that. Hang in there. It gets better!
