GeoJen 0 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) I just found you guys and I am on day 2 of Optifast. As a busy mom of 5 kids, I am finding this part the most challenging. They keep asking me for food and it is driving me crazy. I just told my oldest that he had lunch duty today and I am going upstairs while they eat. The dr said I just need to get through the first 3-4 days and it gets easier. Any suggestions? Edited December 30, 2014 by GeoJen
SuperDave 1,115 Posted December 30, 2014 It is true that the first few days are the hardest. I felt horrible and craved EVERYTHING for 3 days, after that the rest of the 2 weeks was a breeze. You can do it!
Luvin_Life125 558 Posted December 30, 2014 Hang in there and know you can do this!! It isn't easy and it takes every bit of self control you can muster. Welcome to the group!
Elode 8,093 Posted December 30, 2014 @@GeoJen Hi, welcome! And just let me say there is nothing wrong with putting someone else on food duty during this time. I did! My husband was responsible for all the food for the kids and himself while I stayed in my room and guess what...they didn't starve and I didn't cheat! Boom! Done! Good luck! Momof2inIowa 195 Posted December 30, 2014 I did the Optifast program too, it's true after the first few days it gets MUCH easier then you won't worry so much about having food around you won't want it. Dont' cheat it's not worth it, you will do great!
