QueenieB 3 Posted December 30, 2014 I been given my surgery date January 16th and I still don't feel like I'm actually gonna go through with it. I still feel like I can do this on my own. Just like so many I've been up/down my whole life. I've given up and feel this is the only thing left to try. It has been over a year of tests and appointments and I feel like I should be excited but I'm terrified. What if I die during or after from doing this surgery? What if I die from not doing it? I'm tired of being tired! What if it doesn't work? Or doesn't work the way it should? What if I look worse than I do now? Everybody will be watching and monitoring my every move after! What I eat, how much I eat etc... People thinking I've taken the easy way out. I know and you know it's not but it still bothers me a bit. How much pain will I be in after? I know everybody is different but what should I prepare for? I'm reading tons of books and going online but...... Anybody else feel this way???

msreaina 133 Posted December 30, 2014 I felt the same way. But the sleeve has been a life saver for me. If you feel you don't need the surgery then it your decision. Do what is best for you. But I can promise you if you stick to the surgery it will be the best decision of your life.
QueenieB 3 Posted December 30, 2014 Were you in a lot of pain for recovery? It seems everybody right after says how they are wondering why they did this to themselves but afterwards (not sure how long, hopefully soon) they would do it all over again
